Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shipping Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle physical work in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments and deliveries
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship outgoing orders
- Organize and maintain stockroom, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory management
- Track and document shipments, preparing regular reports for management
- Coordinate and schedule large shipments, ensuring adequate space and staffing
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve customer concerns efficiently
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental policies
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified)
- Assist with inventory control, including counting and cataloging items
- Handle heavy lifting and safely move large packages as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Previous shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus
