General Laborer
Hours: M-F 7AM-5PM (HOURS MAY VARY; SOME OVERTIME REQUIRED)
PAY: $15/HR
Position Summary
Looking for a general laborer to assist telecommunications and cable technicians with construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of cable and communication systems. This role involves physical labor, outdoor work, and supporting field operations safely and efficiently.
Common Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
- Dig trenches and holes for underground cable placement
- Pull cable through conduits and utility pathways
- Operate hand tools and basic power equipment
- Set up traffic cones, warning signs, and safety barriers
- Clean and prepare job sites
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50–100 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Basic knowledge of construction or utility work helpful
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Exposure to weather, noise, and heavy equipment
- May require overtime
