Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Accounting Specialists for multiple companies throughout the Shreveport and Bossier area. We are seeking detail-oriented individuals with experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or general office accounting functions.
These opportunities range from entry-level accounting support positions to more experienced accounting and bookkeeping roles. Both temporary assignments and long-term evaluation hire opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting
- Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Maintain spreadsheets and accounting databases
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
- Provide general administrative and office support as needed
Qualifications
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or office administration experience preferred
- Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Degree or certification in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred for some positions
