Shop Hand / General Labor
Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay: $14.00–$17.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Hand / General Laborer to join our team in Shreveport. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping a shop organized, and is willing to assist wherever needed. The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Load, unload, and move materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist technicians and shop personnel with daily tasks.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Clean and prepare equipment, parts, and work areas.
- Stock and organize inventory and shop materials.
- Perform general labor duties as assigned.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous shop, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions when necessary.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
