Diesel Mechanic
Pay: $30–$35/hr DOE
Hours: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
Location: Greenwood, LA
Schedule: No weekends
Seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its team. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on diesel repair experience who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and trailers. Welding experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, brake, and suspension issues
- Repair and replace worn or damaged components
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed
- Inspect trucks and trailers for safety and mechanical concerns
- Complete routine service including oil changes, filters, fluids, and lubrication
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Accurately communicate needed repairs and completed work
Requirements
- Previous professional diesel mechanic experience required
- Experience working on commercial trucks and trailers
- Welding experience required
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Must be dependable and able to maintain a Monday–Friday schedule
- Valid driver's license preferred
