Steel Production Machine Operator
Pay: $16–$18/hr DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM; overtime required as needed
Location: Shreveport, LA 71104

A steel manufacturing facility in Shreveport is looking for a Steel Production Machine Operator to join its production team. This position operates industrial equipment used to expand or enlarge openings in steel components to meet production specifications.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone who is comfortable working around steel, machinery, and production equipment. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred.
Job Duties

Operate production machinery used to expand/enlarge holes and openings in steel components

Load, position, and remove steel parts from equipment

Follow work orders, measurements, and production specifications

Inspect finished parts to ensure proper sizing and quality

Use measuring tools as needed to verify finished dimensions

Make basic machine adjustments during the production process

Handle and move steel materials throughout the work area

Maintain a clean and organized workstation

Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines

Assist with other production and shop duties as needed
Requirements
-
Previous manufacturing, machine operation, metalworking, or steel experience preferred

Comfortable working with industrial machinery and steel products

Ability to read and follow measurements and production instructions

Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail

Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift

Dependable attendance and ability to work in a production environment

Must be available for required overtime when production demands it
