Location: Chelsea, MI
Pay: Up to $33 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Currently working Fridays (10-hour shift) due to production demand
Express Employment Professionals is working with a local precision manufacturer seeking experienced Acme Gridley Screw Machine Operators to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for operators who are comfortable running multiple machines and performing routine machine maintenance while maintaining high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Acme Gridley multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision components
- Run up to 2 machines simultaneously while maintaining production and quality standards
- Perform scheduled quality checks using micrometers, gauges, and calipers
- Change tools and drills as needed to maintain production
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and assist with machine adjustments
- Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and oiling
- Stock machines with material and ensure continuous operation
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Acme Gridley screw machine operating experience required
- Ability to perform quality inspections using micrometers, gauges, and calipers (or willingness to learn)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Ability to manage multiple machines and maintain production efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
