Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join a growing power generation equipment company in New Hudson, MI.
This is a unique opportunity to work with load bank systems used to test generators, power systems, data centers, and critical infrastructure across North America. The company specializes in rebuilding, upgrading, troubleshooting, and validating equipment ranging from portable 100KW units to massive 20-megawatt systems supporting power plants and data centers.

Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay
- $27-$31/hr based on experience
This is not a production assembly environment. The majority of work involves troubleshooting, retrofitting, repairing, testing, and upgrading completed systems.
Electrical Technician Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose system issues
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Replace and repair components including:
- Wiring
- Fuses
- Relays
- Solenoids
- Electrical assemblies
- Perform electrical testing and validation of load bank systems
- Support equipment upgrades and engineering changes
- Verify proper operation following shipping damage repairs and retrofits
- Assist with functional testing and quality verification
- Document repairs and troubleshooting activities
- Work cross-functionally with quality and mechanical teams
Preferred Experience
We are seeking technicians with approximately 4+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
- Automotive Electrical Technician
- Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Electrical Service Technician
- Wire Harness Technician
- Panel Builder
- Controls Technician
- Equipment Repair Technician
- Machinery Electrical Technician
- Generator Technician
- Field Service Technician
Additional Skills That Are Helpful
- Panel wiring experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Drill press, tapping, or machining exposure
- Ability to work on complete systems rather than only circuit boards
- Experience supporting equipment installations
Travel
- Approximately 10% travel
- Around 6 trips per year
- Travel may include:
- Customer deliveries
- Installation support
- Equipment commissioning
- Customer integration projects
Travel is typically introduced after successful onboarding and training.

Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant electrical or industrial technical experience
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a 5-panel drug screen (THC not accepted)
- Stable work history preferred
