Production Associate
Location: Wixom, MI
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Overtime: Not mandatory, but may be available for employees interested in additional hours
Express Employment of Brighton is currently hiring Production Associates to join a growing manufacturing team in Wixom. This is a hands-on production role working with industrial braiding equipment used to create reinforced tubing for natural gas storage applications.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy detailed, repetitive work, are comfortable working around machinery, and take pride in producing quality products.
Job Duties
- Operate and monitor industrial braiding machines/looms
- Load flexible tubing into machines for processing
- Wind, unwind, and replace industrial thread spools as needed
- Load approximately 8-10 thread spools onto machine spindle assemblies
- Monitor machine operation and product quality throughout production
- Trim excess braided material and apply sealing epoxy to finished tubing
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety and production procedures
Qualifications
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to learn a specialized production process
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks
- Reliable attendance and work history
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 15-20 lbs. throughout the shift
- Alternate between sitting and standing as needed
- Work around moving machinery and multiple production components
