Job Full Description
We are searching for motivated individuals to join our 2nd shift team as Machine Operators with at least 1 year of previous experience. This hands-on role involves setting up and running machinery, working with heavy equipment and power tools, interpreting blueprints, adjusting for materials, verifying dimensions, and safely moving components to storage areas. Candidates should value precision, reliability, and teamwork, and be ready to contribute to the fabrication of structural products used in transmission and distribution systems.
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday: 2:45 pm to 12:45 am
- O/T Fridays as needed
Pay
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, power tools, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment
- Form and cut materials into specified shapes and sizes, using sheet metal and various structural materials
- Perform drilling, forming, seaming, and other fabrication techniques
- Safely operate overhead cranes for material handling
- Troubleshoot equipment, make minor adjustments, and complete OSHA-required pre-checks and inspections
- Make decisions regarding product quality, dimensional tolerances, and operational sequencing
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company practices
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a welding/fabrication shop or metalworking environment
- Hands-on experience with heavy power tools including cutting, pressing, drilling, basic welding, and fabrication
- Familiarity with light and heavy industrial equipment, including CNC machinery, melt shop operations, machining, overhead cranes, and medium to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and verify dimensional specifications
- Reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods, climb on/off equipment, and lift materials exceeding 50 pounds on a regular basis
