Job Full Description
Join a fast-paced team in Cannon Falls, MN as a 1st or 2nd Shift Welder and help bring custom equipment to life in this hands-on role running only through the end of the year! You’ll perform MIG welding on steel components, read blueprints, use measuring tools, and ensure weld quality—all while working alongside fabricators and engineers to meet production goals. Success in this role calls for previous welding experience, strong attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a safety-first mindset with solid mechanical skills. A welding certificate is not required—just bring your skills and readiness to work. Schedule
- 1st Shift - Monday to Friday 7am-3pm
- 2nd Shift - Monday to Thursday 3pm-1am
Pay
- $23.00 - $25.00 ($2 shift differential for 2nd shift)
- Weekly paychecks every Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity; make adjustments as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and tape measurements to ensure proper fit and assembly.
- Collaborate with team members, including fabricators and engineers, to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during shift.
- Follow production schedules and meet deadlines for custom equipment builds.
Skills and Qualifications
- MIG welding proficiency: Ability to weld steel components with precision and consistency.
- Welding certification is a plus but not required.
- Blueprint reading: Understand and follow technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Measuring accuracy: Use tape measures, calipers, and other tools to verify dimensions.
- Mechanical aptitude: Strong understanding of fabrication processes and equipment.
- Attention to detail: Spot defects, ensure weld quality, and maintain high standards.
- Team collaboration: Work effectively with fabricators, engineers, and production staff.
- Time management: Meet production deadlines and adapt to fast-paced environments.
