Job Full Description
Ready to put your organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to work in a manufacturing environment? This Buyer/Planner role helps ensure materials arrive on time, inventory stays accurate, and production schedules stay on track. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support day-to-day operations and keep manufacturing running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, customer service, or administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of procurement and production planning, strong analytical skills, and experience working within ERP/MRP systems (Oracle experience is a plus).
Responsibilities
- Purchase materials, parts, and services for production
- Create and track purchase orders
- Monitor inventory levels and help prevent shortages
- Schedule production work orders and support manufacturing timelines
- Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, pricing, and quality concerns
- Resolve order, inventory, and invoice discrepancies
- Update purchasing and planning information within the ERP system
- Work with production, engineering, customer service, and quality teams
- Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of purchasing, inventory, procurement, or production planning
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems required (Oracle preferred)
- Previous manufacturing, inventory, administrative, or supply chain experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
