Now Hiring: Puller Assistant
Join our team as a Puller Assistant, supporting the Order Pullers to ensure all lumber pulled and shipped is accurate and meets customer specifications. This role plays a key part in building customer trust and creating repeat business opportunities.
Position Overview
As a Puller Assistant, you’ll work hands-on with lumber inventory—tagging, wrapping, maneuvering, and assisting in building customer orders. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, attention to detail, and being part of a team.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with pulling lumber for orders
-
Rotate inventory using older stock when appropriate

Tag lumber correctly, including back-to-stock labels
-
Cut banding, remove paper wrap, and adjust lumber as needed

Follow instructions to band, paint, cut, wrap, and mark lumber
-
Communicate with Order Pullers regarding order details and inventory
Additional Duties
-
Use tablet/computer to help track and process orders
-
Notify lead of unsafe lumber stacks and correct if forklift certified

Retrieve inventory tags and assist in building truck-ready units

Keep warehouse and yard areas clean

Perform daily forklift checks (tires, fluids, damage), if operating

Follow all safety procedures and wear the required PPE

Complete other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

General knowledge of warehouse or manufacturing processes

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Comfortable lifting 40–50 lbs as needed

Previous lumber experience is a plus

Forklift experience a bonus
