Test Cell Technician I
Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week (overtime as necessary) Day Shift
$26-$30/hour DOE
Reports To: Test Cell Manager and Production Floor Manager
Main Purpose
The Test Cell Technician I will support the propulsion testing department, ensuring quality operations are maintained. This role is key to the successful operation of the main shop and ensures that engine testing is conducted in compliance with the company’s AS9100 certification standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties and assignments related to the test cell department with minimal supervision.

Ensure all test stand-related services are performed safely, professionally, and on schedule.

Operate test equipment, including the data acquisition system, and interpret data accurately.

Monitor engine performance to ensure proper RPM, cylinder head temperature, fuel mixture, and other key parameters are maintained.

Maintain and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed.

Troubleshoot malfunctions, determine root causes, and document corrective actions.

Complete run logs and maintenance action forms thoroughly and accurately.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, customers, and external clients to complete and document testing.

Resolve questions and problems within the department as they arise.

Complete tasks in full compliance with AS9100 standards.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Experience, and Aptitude
-
1–3 years of engine repair or building experience required.

Experience installing, removing, operating, and repairing a variety of propulsion units.

Proficiency in understanding and utilizing written technical materials related to assigned projects.
-
Experience working to AS9100 standards preferred.
Essential Functions
-
Safely lift and carry heavy objects (with assistance as needed).

Work independently while meeting strict deadlines.

Remain in a stationary position for extended periods, alternating between sitting and standing as needed.

Visually inspect assemblies and test stands to ensure accuracy.

Perform repetitive movements such as pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and stooping.

Perform fine hand manipulation, including handling small and large objects.
