We are a trusted contractor hired to take down an old mill. The work we do is vital. Recovering and preparing materials that will be repurposed to build out a new site. We’re looking for hardworking individuals who take pride in their craft, can handle the elements, and want to contribute to a project with lasting impact.
Position Summary:
We’re hiring a Torch Cutter / Iron Worker to join our demolition crew. The right candidate will have experience cutting steel safely and accurately. While experienced iron workers and scrap cutters are encouraged to apply, we are also open to apprentice iron workers who are ready to learn and grow on the job.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely operate a cutting torch to remove and process steel and iron materials.
- Cut with precision to ensure material is preserved for reuse at another site.
- Work as part of a demolition crew, supporting dismantling operations as needed.
- Follow all site safety procedures, wearing proper protective equipment.
- Adapt to outdoor working conditions, including cold, rain, wind, or heat.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with torch cutting, iron work, scrap cutting, or millwright/construction work preferred.
- Ability to cut straight and safely while maintaining productivity.
- Strong focus on safety and reliability.
- Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Team-oriented attitude and readiness to take instruction.
- Open to apprentice-level candidates eager to build skills in iron work.
