Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
*Flexible schedule- can work 4 10's or 5 8's*
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00/HR
Duties:
- Set up and operate Mazak CNC machines, including Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) and Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs).
- Perform light CNC programming, program edits, and machine adjustments to support production requirements.
- Complete machine setups, tooling changes, fixture setups, offsets, and production changeovers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and work instructions.
- Machine precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets as needed.
- Troubleshoot machine issues, tooling concerns, and quality discrepancies.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
- Maintain production records and inspection documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of CNC machining, CNC setup, or CNC programming experience preferred.
- Experience operating Mazak CNC machines, Vertical Machining Centers (VMC), and Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Experience performing machine setups, tooling changes, fixture setup, offsets, and changeovers.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, G-Code, M-Code, and light program editing preferred.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances, dimensional inspection, and quality control processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with metal machining, milling, turning, manufacturing, and production environments preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and accept coaching.
- Team-player mentality with strong communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
