Job Full Description
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: $27.00 - $41.00 /HR
Duties:
- Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform daily tasks
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders to determine repair procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machines and facility systems
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs as needed
- Identify and report faulty operations or materials to management
- Operate forklifts, tow motors, and other lift equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Represent the company professionally during internal and external interactions
- Complete other tasks and assignments as directed by management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience with production or paper converting machinery preferred
- 2 years of experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, and HMI or an associate degree or equivalent in electrical engineering technology or electronic systems will be accepted.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, HVAC systems, and basic welding techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments
- Basic computer and math skills
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Forklift certification (initial and renewal every 3 years) and aerial lift certification required (annual)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and be available for on-call support
- Occasional travel may be required
