Job Full Description
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00/HR
Duties:
- Safely operate a Class A CDL tractor-trailer to deliver products to branch locations and customer sites.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Transport products efficiently while ensuring on-time deliveries and excellent customer service.
- Sort and distribute transfer materials into designated warehouse or RDC locations.
- Consolidate and secure loads to maximize trailer space, including stacking and wrapping pallets and utilizing load bars.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and repairs with the leasing company as needed.
- Assist with picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment when required.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and shipping documentation.
- Keep trucks, trailers, and work areas clean, organized, and professional.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- 1-3 years of previous Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the past 3 years.
- Forklift experience required; certification is a plus.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of transportation safety and DOT regulations.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and secure freight.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
