Quality Inspector III

Monday-Thursday

Swing Shift 

3 pm-1:30 am

Train on days for 2-3 weeks

Summary
The Quality Inspector III is responsible for inspecting complex components, parts, and products to ensure compliance with all applicable specifications and quality assurance requirements. This role works under minimal supervision and handles moderately difficult to complex quality issues. The Quality Inspector III also oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements and supports continuous improvement in quality practices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of complex examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components, and parts at various stages of production to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.

  • Review and analyze statistical data from processes to confirm compliance or identify deviations from standards.

  • Oversee the successful resolution of customer requirements on a variety of complex quality assurance issues.

  • Prepare and complete all documentation for acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.

  • Manage internal audits and corrective action follow-ups.

  • Perform inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies, and tooling.

  • Support additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.

  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may require night/weekend work, variable schedules, or overtime as needed.

Job Specifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a combination of relevant education and work experience may support successful performance in the role.

Certifications

  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience required.

Skills

  • Solid knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance, with the ability to act as a resource to colleagues.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and independently resolve complex quality issues.

  • Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as required for assignments.

  • Experience working with engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.

  • Proficient computer skills.
