Manufacturing Finishing and Spray Painting Specialist
Mon-Thu 5am-3:30pm
$20-25 DOE
Main Purpose:
Paint, Dye and/or finish SLS parts to customer specifications. The position is required to finish parts using best practices with little to no part return.
Read and understand drawing requirements for part finishing.
Prepare parts for secondary operations finishing. This includes but not limited to: sanding, gluing, plugging, dying, masking, dipping, sealing, and painting.
Properly handle parts in each application.
Understand surface finishes and contamination routes.
Proficiently use hand tools such as drills, sanders, measuring devices, cutting tools.
Proficiently and properly handle paint booth equipment such as spray guns, ventilation, and compressors.
Inspect each part for paint blemishes, cracks, and layer thickness.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work areas and practice FOD control.
Follow proper PPE procedures for painting - face mask, painting coveralls.
Provides continuous feedback of secondary operations in regards to delivery times and improvement of painting practices.
Understand and demonstrate an understanding of HazMat materials and proper storage of chemicals in accordance with OSHA standards.
Ability to wear a respirator for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to stand or sit in small paint booth for extended periods.
Must work well in small business environment.
Must posses skills to communicate both written and verbally.

Skills, Experience, and Aptitude:
The Finish Specialist will have relevant experience with SLS technologies that include excellent computer skills, and have comprehensive knowledge reading engineering drawings. He / She will practice safe paint bench procedures in handling chemicals, and safely operate all related equipment and power tools. He / She will be able to work well with people at all levels within the company as well as customers and vendors.
