Job Full Description
A leading company in the construction materials industry is seeking an experienced Yard Worker to support daily operations. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are dependable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a busy yard or warehouse environment.
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and accurately
- Verify orders for completeness and accuracy
- Organize, sort, and restock inventory
- Dispose of construction debris as needed
- Check in equipment and maintain proper documentation
- Manage yard tools and equipment
- Enter time, materials, and activity details into the computer system
Requirements
- 2+ years of forklift experience
- 2+ years of yard or warehouse experience (construction/fence materials a plus)
- Ability to pass a forklift certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, accountable, and safety‑focused
- Effective communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Basic math and tape‑measure skills
